Sélection du Festival de Locarno 2009


"Les Derniers jours du monde" des Frères Larrieu
Après Toronto, c’est donc au tour  de Locarno de dévoiler sa liste de projections et ses compétitions, qui auront lieu entre le 5 et le 15 août. Le jury est présidé cette année par Jonathan Nossiter qui sera entouré (entre autre) de Pascal Bonitzer et Hong Sang-Soo.

On retrouvera nottamment les nouveaux films d’Amos Gitaï, de Nick Cassavetes et des Frères Larrieu en avant-premières, encadrant deux sélections de cinéma d’auteur plus pointu avec par exemple le nouveau film de Masahiro Kobayashi ou L’insurgée de Laurent Perreau et La Reine des Pommes de Valérie Donzelli qui représenteront la France. Un hommage sera par ailleurs rendu à William Friedkin.

L’an prochain c’est Olivier Père, l’ancien sélectionneur de la quinzaine des réalisateurs, qui reprendra les rênes de ce festival, en remplacement de Frederic Maire.
